History
India's first Blue Flag beaches were certified in 2020 by the Foundation for Environmental Education, administered in India through the Society of Integrated Coastal Management (MoEFCC).
How this list was compiled
Not exhaustive here — roughly a dozen Indian beaches currently hold the certification; this covers ones at destinations already loaded plus a few of the best-known others. Denominator source: Foundation for Environmental Education's Blue Flag programme.
