Yogini Temples of India
A distinct, understudied tradition of circular, roofless (hypaethral) granite temples dedicated to the sixty-four yoginis.
A curated selection, not an official or closed list — either traditions vary on the full set of sites, or this is an editorial grouping rather than a traditional one.
Significance & tradition
A visually extraordinary and comparatively little-known tradition that links Khajuraho to Odisha, where this app already holds Puri and Konark.
History
Most surviving Yogini temples date from the 9th to 11th centuries CE; many were abandoned or repurposed after that, making the survivors architecturally rare.
